The new Torrent RE Solar from Gledhill Building Products provides hot water and heating through its combined thermal store and incorporated heat exchanger. The manufacturer believes the lack of runaways to ground make it a popular choice for flats, and, as it doesn’t require pressure and temperature relief valves or annual safety checks it avoids annual service and maintenance costs for landlords and homeowners. It is also possible to incorporate alternate energy sources and these can then be used in the heating system in addition to providing domestic hot water.
