An easy-to-apply, two coat, thin film, waterborne intumescent coating has been launched by Bollom Fire Protection. Called Brosteel Ultra 60 it is designed to provide 30 and 60 minutes of fire resistance on standard steel members in internal environments. It can be used at any stage of erection and will dry within four hours, and is applied by brush, or by airless spray.
