Bradford based Benson Hand Tools make a whole range of traditional style hand tools for the wet trades. The folding spot board stand has been a popular item for many years and the design has yet to be beaten.

I have also been using the Benson flexible bucket for a year now and have given it the kind of abuse I normally reserve for our Editor. It has been caked in plaster, sand and cement and tile adhesive it is always possible to clean it up with a couple of knocks. Even in the coldest weather it didn’t crack when I gave it an early morning bashing.

The floor scraper is a must for all but the most meticulous plasterers (those who drop almost nothing) and the blades are replaceable. I have also been using their stainless steel notched floor trowel for laying ceramic floor tiles as well as their continuous bed notched trowel.
