The great outdoors
Snickers outdoor workwear range should turn heads on site – as would our model come to that.

The Snickers range of workwear has a long history and has always been known for quality. These days a lot of similar looking workwear is coming in from China, and being sold at boot sales, but if you wear it for a day you will soon find out why Snickers obsession with manufacturing detail has paid off. I have a pair of the company’s original shiny blue trousers which, apart from being covered in silicone, are still good to go.

I must say I prefer the new black trousers, especially on Becky, who is wearing women’s specific work trousers, and the rest of their outdoor wear also looks the part.

Gloves
These are not the sort of gloves for working with power tools or hammering in nails but if you want warm hands then they do the job. They keep out moisture and have a fleecy lining that stays put when you pull them off. I have been using them all through the snowy winter and even use them when I go mountain biking.

Soft Shell
The soft shell jacket is made from Flexguard, which is windproof and waterproof (8,000mm of static head water) but still lets a lot more moisture out so you stay dry and therefore a lot warmer.

Fleecy lined
I wore this fleecy lined jacket all through the snowy days and I have to say it was really comfortable. If you are a roofer or scaffolder, up there where nobody wants to be on a cold day, this jacket will make your days a lot happier. It is a very stylish jacket on the right person, which is obviously not me but on a younger bloke, or woman, it would look great. But I have fallen in love with it now so they would have to be quick on their toes to knick it out of the tea hut.

Women’s specific trousers and jacket
One of the things that really makes Snickers stand out from the crowd is the fit of their clothes. They don’t just do a nominal size but a series of measurements and the cut for women is different to men. In the back of their catalogue is a guide to measuring to ensure you get the right fit.
